Cookie Policy
Effective: 2026-10-16 Last updated: 2026-05-14 Version: 1.0
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Score uses cookies and similar technologies on the marketing website at score-corp.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy at /privacy and forms part of our compliance with:
- The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), in particular Regulation 6 (consent for storage of, or access to, information stored on a user's device).
- The EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in the law of each EEA member state.
- The CCPA / CPRA in California, in respect of the use of cookies to share personal information.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are used to remember information about you, your preferences, and your activity. Similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, session storage, fingerprinting) work in comparable ways and we cover them here too.
3. The categories we use
We classify cookies into four categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
Required to operate the website. You cannot opt out of these.
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__next_hmr_refresh_* | Operational, used by Next.js during development; not present in production | Score (development only) | Session |
| Locale preference | Remembers your language preference if you change it on the site | Score | 1 year |
3.2 Functional cookies
Used to remember choices you make to give you a better experience. Set only with your consent.
None at present.
3.3 Analytics cookies
Used to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes visitors for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years | |
_ga_<container-id> | Persists session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years |
Google Analytics 4 does not load and no event is sent until you give consent through the banner described in Section 4. Rejecting or ignoring the banner means gtag.js is never fetched and no analytics cookie is set. If you accept the banner as worded from consent string version 2.0, and later join the waitlist, we also store the Google Analytics identifiers from your visit with your signup, so we can see which source brought you. Turning analytics off in your preferences deletes them. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
3.4 Marketing and advertising cookies
Used to deliver advertising or to measure the performance of advertising. Set only with your consent.
None at present. Score does not currently engage in cross-context behavioural advertising. If this changes we will update this section and present a consent banner before any such cookie is set.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies in the following ways:
- Consent banner. We present a cookie consent banner to every visitor, not only those visiting from a jurisdiction that requires it, before any non-essential cookie is set. Your choice (accept or reject) is written to our consent-log-of-record and can be changed at any time from the preferences link in this policy's footer. We do not currently re-prompt a returning visitor who already has a recorded decision; changing your mind requires using the preferences link.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. See
aboutcookies.orgfor instructions. - Global Privacy Control. GPC is detected and honoured. If your browser or extension sets a Global Privacy Control signal, Score treats it as a decision you have already made: analytics are opted out before you interact with the banner, no analytics script loads, and no event is sent. The banner is still shown, so you can see what was decided and change it. An explicit choice you make on this site takes precedence over the signal in both directions, because answering the question in front of you is a more specific act than a browser-wide default.
- Do-Not-Track. A uniform technical standard for DNT has not been finalised. We do not currently respond to it.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, change, or remove a cookie or similar technology. The effective date at the top tells you when the current version came into force. Material changes will be notified by an in-product banner.
